When it comes to hair extensions, not every installation method is the right fit for every client. Recently, we had the opportunity to help a client transition from a previous extension installation that wasn't performing as expected.
Our client came to us wearing invisible K-tips that had been installed elsewhere. Unfortunately, she was experiencing excessive shedding and bond slippage, causing the extensions to fall out prematurely. After evaluating her hair and discussing her goals, we decided that a traditional K-tip installation would be a better option for her lifestyle, hair type, and desired level of fullness.
For this transformation, we installed 200 grams of 24-inch Natural Wave K-Tip extensions, creating incredible length, volume, and movement while maintaining a natural blend.

Why We Chose Traditional K-Tips
Traditional K-tips utilize slightly larger keratin bonds than invisible K-tips. These bonds provide a secure attachment while still allowing the hair to move naturally. For clients who need additional durability or who have experienced challenges with smaller bonds, traditional K-tips can be an excellent alternative.
Because the bonds are individually installed, the extensions distribute weight evenly throughout the hair, creating a comfortable and versatile result that can be worn in a variety of styles.
